It was an international television smorgasbord. As is their tradition, the 50th annual Monte-Carlo Television Festival, held on June 10th, recognized a wide range of winners in television programming from around the world. America was well represented, with shows like Dexter, Mad Men and 30 Rock garnering accolades and CNN winning for Best 24-Hour News Programme. Many other countries walked away with Golden Nymph statuettes, including Russia, Finland, Italy, Denmark and Japan. The best speech of the night came from a surprised and overwhelmed Diana Amft, who won Outstanding Actress (in Comedy) for the German series Doctor’s Diary. She was so charmingly discombobulated that awards co-host Bernard Montiel asked, “Do you need a kiss?” (Eric Close took him up on that later, but on the cheek.)

The full list of winners can be found here.

Following the event, winners, nominees, talent and press made their way to a gala dinner that featured Rock Around The Clock, a group paying tribute to Fifties rock ‘n’ roll. After their event, some celebs and press made their way to a nearby nightclub for more fun and frolicking.

Excited fans wait for a chance to see their favorite stars.
