Who: Tracii Guns, guitarist for L.A. Guns.
What: The Top 5 MP3s in his iPod right now.
Where: Los Angeles.
Latest Album: Shrinking Violet reissue. New studio album in the works.
TURBONEGRO “Rendezvous With Anus” — I love that Goddamn song. It’s just so sleazy and puts anything I’ve ever written to shame along the lines of sleazy rock. That band really gets it, and the sense of humor incorporated with the musicianship and the attitude — they are the last great glam band. That’s my opinion.
AEROSMITH “Lord Of The Thighs” — Simply because that is the sleaziest song ever.
ELTON JOHN “Your Song” — It’s beautiful. Elton John’s music is just stunning to me. It always has been my whole life.
GENE VINCENT AND HIS BLUE CAPS “Be-Bop-A-Lula” — I can’t get enough of Cliff Gallup, his guitar player. I don’t even know the names of the songs. It’s just that rockabilly stuff. I have a lot of Gene Vincent records where every song is almost the same, but all the songs are great.
The full LED ZEPPELIN catalog — They could not do any wrong in my eyes, from the BBC Sessions all the way to the 02 reunion bootleg that’s on my iPod; including Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes. It has to be done.
