I’m Gonna Be (500 Posts)

I knew when I started Attention Deficit Delirium that it would be a labor of love, but I did not realize how much time and energy I would invest into it. Since June 2009 (yes, we’re just shy of the two-year mark, folks), I have unleashed an armada of interviews, reviews, columns, giveaways and now podcasts. A few guest bloggers have also contributed. True to the title of this site, which is inspired by the cultural A.D.D. that I believe many of us have developed in our overly saturated multimedia world, I have examined a wide variety of subjects and art forms, although obviously my love for things dark and moody has prevailed.

The biggest joy of this endeavor has been connecting with a multitude of readers, especially so many fresh faces who, funnily enough, see me as a new writer. And that’s a good thing since it’s always nice to be “discovered” in one way or another. Many of these followers are half my age (it’s nice to know I connect with their generation), and they hail from countries as widespread as New Zealand, Norway and South Africa. That’s an audience that I could only reach online, and it’s been an amazing experience interfacing with them, getting their feedback and befriending many of them, if virtually.

I'd ask The Proclaimers to write a revised version of their big hit for me,
but I don't think I could afford their fee.

Now that I’ve reached my 500th post, I just want to say thanks to all of the people who have been reading and whose ranks are swelling. Without you, A.D.D. would not be leaving its mark on the world. Stay tuned for more exciting news, interviews, reviews, giveaways and by around July, a flashier, more user friendly format that will rock your world.
