Trying to look cool next to Tom Morello and Hellboy. Not sure I succeeded.

I usually do not attend the very first night of New York Comic Con, which is populated by professionals, exhibitors, premium passholders and press. But I needed to chat with Tom Morello about his Dark Horse series Orchid for New York magazine’s website, so I got there at about 4 PM yesterday. I’m glad I did, not only because I snagged a great interview but because I got a good lay of the land and will be able to better navigate the massive exhibition hall over the three-day weekend event.
Here are some images from last night’s opening of NYCC 2011. I did not stay for the party as I had to file my story and finish some other work. But I can safely say that things are off to a good start. More coverage to come!
