Henry Rollins: Music Is Alive And Well

Punk rock icon and intellectual agitator Henry Rollins believes that music is alive and well at a time when the mainstream music industry is gradually falling apart. In the following outtake from the Bloodied But Unbowed documentary, he praises the DIY ethos that exists today beneath the popular music radar (as opposed to the way the term was superficially and erroneously tossed around by every other publicist 10 to 15 years ago) and the fact that many independent up-and-coming and self-made artists do not want to be part of the MTV/Rolling Stone/Top 40 paradigm. Whether or not you fully agree with his observations, his comments are quite thoughtful.
