Every year there is one major industry holiday party I enjoy going to, but this year I knew it wasn’t happening. I thought about this prior to Thanksgiving and mentioned it to my editor at Drumhead, Heather Smith. She in turn e-mailed me and Marc Schapiro, co-owner of the Idle Hands bar (and founder of the Branch Collective marketing company), and in short order we were planning the first annual Heavy Metal Holiday Party at his rockin’ bar on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, with the association of Metal Insider, Horns Up Rocks and MetalSucks included. Unlike any of the industry events I attend at this time of the year, there is no list. Anyone can go. Idle Hands will be offering drink specials all night, and you’ll be able to rub elbows with music industry veterans and heavy music fans of all ages while enjoying fine drinks and great tunes.
So if you’re around tomorrow night, Wednesday, December 19 between 7 PM and 11:58 PM, join us at 25 Avenue B (downstairs) between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Click on the image below to make it bigger and learn more. It’ll be a rockin’ good time.
