Although it’s been quietly ongoing for three months, I want to officially announce that Side Jams has joined the Pantheon Podcasts network. The idea first manifested itself during an interview I did last year with Christian Swain, the host of Deeper Digs In Rock which is an offshoot of the Rock N Roll Archaeology podcast. He interviewed me last year about my contributions to the book Rock Stars At Home. We had fun during her two-hour interview, and when he learned that I dad just started a podcast about interviewing artists regarding their outside hobbies and passions, he made a suggestion that I join their network.
A few months after I chatted with him, and after I had recorded a few more episodes, I decided to take the plunge and join Pantheon rather than simply go it alone. They designed a new logo for me, have a social media person who is able to promote my posts (and those of my fellow podcasters there), and they’re still a growing despite many podcasts dropping in traffic during the pandemic. Pantheon is also the first podcast network to start releasing episodes in HD audio. Their shows include the aforementioned ones along with Pamela Des Barres’ Pajama Party, History In Five Songs with Martin Popoff, Goldmine magazine’s podcast, and many others.
I look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with them. Podcasting is fun but it’s also a lot of work, and it is good to be part of a greater network where you can not only interact with fellow podcasters but keep up with the latest trends and hear what everyone else is doing.
Onward and upward!
