2010 is the year of the geek girl at San Diego Comic Con International. There is an unprecedented amount of programming geared towards women this year, and it was completely gratifying to attend the Geek Girls Exist panel on Thursday evening and see that the room the Con allotted for this program was filled to capacity. They were actually turning away people at the door! Geek girls are here, they’re loud and they’re proud – get used to it!
